Cowell Releases Video For Charity Recording

Simon Cowell and a bevy of stars have released a promotional video for their charity recording of R.E.M.'s 1992 hit, "Everybody Hurts." The song was recorded to support the Haitian relief effort. The video features footage of such stars as Miley Cyrus and Mariah Carey in the studio recording the song, as well as footage from Haiti. The single was officially released for download through iTunes over the weekend. The video is currently streaming on YouTube.

30 Seconds To Mars Evacuate Screening Due To Bomb Scare

30 Seconds to Mars were forced to cancel a screening of their latest documentary, Artifact, at a West Hollywood venue last week due to a potential bomb scare. Frontman Jared Leto was thanking the crowd for their support of the band's effort to help the victims of Haiti during a recent auction, when there was a loud knock on the door. "Then a guy walks in with a giant package in his arms and everyone, including me, thought it was a joke," Leto told MTV News.

Noel Gallagher To Toronto To Testify Against Stage Attacker

Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher is planning on traveling to Toronto in order to testify against Daniel Sullivan, the man who attacked him onstage during the band's performance at the Virgin Music Festival in September 2008. Gallagher was left with three broken ribs after Sullivan, who was drunk at the time, rushed the stage. The guitarist then fell onto monitors and was badly injured, which forced Oasis to cancel their following five tour dates.

Thom Yorke Collaborates On New Flying Lotus Track

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will make a special guest appearance on Flying Lotus' upcoming album, Cosmogramma. Yorke will lend his vocals to the track ". . . And the World Laughs With You." "I'm finally getting to the point where I can make the kind of records that I want to make -- that I wanted to make when I was younger, things that I dreamed about making," Flying Lotus told Pitchfork.
